Professional Static QR Code Generator

Create completely custom, permanent QR codes with tailored module shapes, branded logos, call-to-action frames, and multi-angle gradients.

A static QR code stores the data itself, not a link to a tracking server, so the symbol you download today will scan for as long as the printed surface survives.

ISO/IEC 18004 Standard & Architecture Overview

A technical reference for engineers, developers, and print designers.

Why qr-code.love Generates Superior Barcodes

Unlike SaaS platforms that wrap your URLs in dynamic tracking redirect hops, qr-code.love encodes your payload directly into the standard 2D matrix according to ISO/IEC 18004:

  • Zero Cloud Intermediation: Everything generates inside your browser. No API keys, no server uptime risks, and zero tracking cookies.
  • Perpetual Lifespan: Because the raw payload is written into the visual matrix, the barcode never expires.
  • Multi-Format Scalability: Vector SVG exports allow lossless scaling from business card dimensions to massive outdoor billboards.

How much data fits in a symbol

Capacity in bytes, by version and error correction level.

The generator encodes everything as bytes, so this is the table that matters. Each row is one symbol size and each column is one error correction level. Higher levels reserve more of the symbol for recovery data and leave less for your payload.

2097ร—97858666482382
40177ร—1772,9532,3311,6631,273

Two things follow from this. A short address of about 30 bytes fits in version 2 or 3 at level M and prints well at business-card size. A full contact card with a postal address is around 260 bytes and needs version 12, which is 65 modules wide and wants a print of at least 30 mm to keep each module above half a millimetre.

The read-out under the preview shows the version the engine settled on and the payload size, so you can see where you land before you download.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about static QR technology, licensing, and print specs.

Static QR codes encode the real destination URL or data directly into the matrix pattern. Unlike dynamic QR codes, they do not pass through a redirect server that could track users, log IP addresses, introduce scan latency, or break when a company cancels a monthly subscription.
For business cards and menus, the printed QR code should be at least 2.0 cm ร— 2.0 cm (0.8 in ร— 0.8 in). For posters and flyers, a minimum of 4.0 cm ร— 4.0 cm (1.6 in ร— 1.6 in) is recommended. A standard rule of thumb is a 10:1 scanning ratio: a 10 cm QR code can be scanned easily from 1 meter away.
QR code optical scanners require a high contrast ratio (at least 3.0:1) between the dark foreground modules and light background. Our editor includes a real-time WCAG contrast validator to alert you if your color selections might impact scanner readability.
Yes! All QR codes generated by qr-code.love come with a perpetual, royalty-free commercial license. You can print them on packaging, flyers, billboards, and client work without attribution.
Yes! When you upload a logo, our engine automatically elevates the Reed-Solomon Error Correction Level to Level Q (25% recovery) or Level H (30% recovery), allowing cameras to recover the obscured area under your logo instantly.
For commercial printing, packaging, and sign shops, always choose Vector SVG format. For raster software, use our 2048px (Print 300 DPI) or 4096px (Ultra HD) PNG options.
